DAIMLER EL24 Reg FXE 657 built in May 1939,
Comes home after over 40 years.
Chassis number 48076, Engine No 88874, body by Daimler.
She now joins her younger sister DB18, 1949, they both look great together.
Although I have a log book going back to 1949, I have little information before that date. 12/7/1949 - Grimsbey, York, from 6/7/1965 Lindsey Lincs – 1/9/65 Binbrook ,Lincs, 11/7/1971 ,Acomb , York (4 Owners) Europe & Australia, 1972/3 Body off restoration in Germany 2006
It would be so nice to gather more info on this great car as to where
it’s been before that date, we know she has been in Australia and Germany and most of Europe during this time.
If anyone has any further information, I would be so pleased to hear from you.
She has had a body off restoration about 35 years ago and is presently
in her prime of life once again, but still requires a new or reconditioned Speedo and the small clock has no hands,
mechanically , she appears to be in good order.
